About the Brand

Great for Rustler 4x4 VXL
This kit is awesome on my Rustler! It works great with my big bore shocks and aftermarket steering/camber links. The install instructions are terrible though! Check out the Traxxas website and search for 'extreme heavy duty kit install instructions' under the 'News' section. The basic Traxxas tool kit had everything I needed to install it. There's also an exploded view on their site to help with the disassembly and part numbers. The kit includes steel hex hubs and washers. If you're into the blue hex hubs, make sure to order the 12mm ones since they fit this kit. I took off the front bumper and removed the rear wheelie bar and bumper to make it easier to swap out parts. I labeled stuff as I took it off so I knew what went where and which screws/nuts to use. The heavy duty kit has the hardware you need but the instructions don’t say where to use it, so comparing it to the old hardware was super helpful. Took me around 40 min for the rear and about an hour for the front.
