More info

Traxxas Maxx Slash is a 1/8 scale short-course truck that pairs VXL-6s power with the Velineon brushless motor for big speed and solid on-track control. This RTR arrives set up for serious bashing and racing, with Traxxas Link telemetry, a clipless body for quick changes, and a chassis designed to protect batteries and drivetrain components.

Key Features

  • VXL-6s waterproof electronic speed control — Compatible with 6S battery configurations, features an onboard cooling fan, real-time telemetry via Traxxas Link, 3-LED status indicators, powered accessory ports, 10-gauge silicone wiring, and built-in protection circuits.
  • Velineon brushless motor — 4-pole 2000 Kv sensorless motor with a 5 mm output shaft and a finned can for improved heat dissipation. The fixed-mesh motor cradle supports the full motor length and reduces flex for longer gear life.
  • Top speed potential — Capable of 70+ mph with optional gearing and two 3S batteries (sold separately) for pilots chasing extreme velocity.
  • Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) — Improves straight-line acceleration and braking on low-traction surfaces without dulling throttle feel. Assistance is adjustable from off to full control from the transmitter.
  • TQi 2.4 GHz high-output radio system — Two-channel transmitter with Traxxas Link support, and a 2.4 GHz 5-channel micro receiver (6533) that provides fail-safe security and telemetry ports. Automatically stores settings for up to 30 Traxxas Link-enabled models. Features a programmable multi-function knob and adjustable steering/throttle rates, sensitivity, and end points.
  • Clipless body — Quick, secure installation and removal with managed airflow for improved high-speed stability, a rigid internal frame, added nerf bar side support, elimination of body posts and clips, and molded reinforcements to resist tear-through.
  • Driveline — Full-time shaft-driven 4WD with a torque-biasing center drive that soaks up shocks and distributes power in an aluminum housing. Sealed, silicone fluid-filled differentials use large-module ring and pinion gears. Steel pinion and spur gears, a Cush Drive for drivetrain protection, steel-core hybrid telescoping driveshafts, and a splined aluminum center driveshaft complete the layout.
  • Modular low-CG composite chassis — Extended modular design interlocks with front and rear bulkheads to absorb and spread impact energy, includes molded-in hex reinforcements on flat surfaces, allows easy service access, and keeps the driveline sealed from dirt and grit.
  • Easy battery access — Large battery compartment with a secure snap-lock battery door accepts a single 6700 mAh 4-cell battery or dual 5000 mAh 3S batteries. Batteries sit deep inside the chassis for better protection and a more secure retention than conventional systems.
  • Steering system — Large-scale, high-output steering servo (2090) rated at 285 oz-in with a 0.18 second transit speed. Servo mounts in a triangulated system to fully support the case and works with double-shear bellcranks for reliable steering loads.
  • Suspension — Double-shear suspension arms made from a composite that resists impact damage even in cold weather, engineered suspension travel and steering geometry, double-shear strength at all critical points, steel pivot balls, C-hub and steering block geometry that maximizes steering angle, fixed high-strength camber and toe links, plus steel upper and lower tie bars.
  • GT-Maxx shocks — Machined aluminum threaded bodies, extra-large bore and fluid capacity, large-diameter damper shafts, lower seal cartridges with dual X-rings, adjustable upper spring retainers, plastic shock caps with pivot balls, and bolted lower spring perches.
  • Bumpers — Energy-absorbing front and rear bumpers with lower skids for impact and abrasion resistance, integrated nerf bars for side impact protection, and an adjustable wheelie bar that includes a built-in carry handle.
  • Wheels & tires — Dual-profile wheels with a keyed 17 mm hex receptor, large 5.3" Maxx SC belted tires to limit expansion and maintain consistent performance, one-piece foam inserts, and tires pre-glued to the wheels for quick track time.
