More info
The box holds two Traxxas TiN-Coated Long Shock Shafts, which replace worn or damaged originals in the shock. A shock shaft is the rod that moves in and out of the shock.
Material and finish
The shafts are made of hardened steel with a super tough titanium nitride coating. Hardened steel outlasts softer alloys. The coating is brass color. A micro-polished finish gives smoother performance and scratch resistance.
Dimensions and hardware
The shafts measure:
- Diameter: 3 mm (0.118 in)
- Length: 47 mm (1.85 in)
- Thread: 3 mm (0.118 in)
The shafts use 3mm e-clips (DTXQ0524).

Essential for Gray Shocks
You gotta have these for gray shocks. I used to bend the regular shafts after one race. These have lasted me all season and are still straight!
New Shock Shafts
They look really good and seem like they might be better than the stock ones, but only time will tell.
Always keep extras
When you're bashing your Traxxas trucks, the stock shafts are gonna bend eventually. I always have a spare pack ready. I've got 4 Traxxas trucks: Stampede 2wd, Stampede 4x4, E-maxx, and a Slash. Replaced about 4 stock shafts so far, and these haven't bent or broken yet.
