Gearing Down Was Smart

Switching to a lower gear on my Rustler was the smartest move for bashing around my big gravel driveway and yard. Now I need a wheelie bar on concrete, plus the battery lasts a lot longer. The motor does heat up if I run too long in the grass, but for most runs, it's cool enough to touch. I got a new 90T spur gear but stuck with the original 86T. FYI: When you're adjusting the pinion back to the spur gear, tighten the adjustment screw so it moves with just a bit of force. Let it sit against the spur gear, then back it off just a smidge. If you don't, the gear noise gets louder and I'm guessing it wears out the spur gear faster.
