The Traxxas Mini Maxx BL-2s is a Ready-to-Race® monster truck. Top speed is 30+ mph.
Power comes from a BL-2s 3300 Kv sensorless brushless motor. The motor has an integrated cooling fan, a low-maintenance design and efficient ball bearings. A Traxxas Quick Connect Motor Plug connects it to the speed control.
The speed control is the BL-2s Electronic Speed Control, a brushless unit that runs forward and reverse. It is waterproof, and its voltage is 6 volts. The battery connects through a Traxxas High-Current Connector.
The speed control has two-stage thermal shutdown protection and built-in two-stage low-voltage detection. It also has an auxiliary fan port, and the heat sink accepts an accessory cooling fan (3340). Traxxas EZ-Set® one-button setup is part of the speed control too.
Three programmable drive profiles are available. Sport Mode runs forward, brake and reverse. Race Mode runs forward and brake. Training Mode™ runs 50% forward, brake, and 50% reverse.
The truck has full-time shaft-driven 4WD with a direct drive transmission. The driveshafts are 1/10 scale, extreme-duty and telescoping. The differentials are sealed planetary steel gear, and the overall drive ratio is 9.20:1. The gears are large with a 32 pitch, and the truck has a fixed gear mesh system.
The chassis is a modular composite design with interlocking front and rear bulkheads. It absorbs and distributes impact energy and is easy to service and access components. The driveline is sealed in the chassis to keep out dirt.
The battery is protected deep in the chassis. The hold-down pivots for easy battery access, and it is more secure than conventional retention systems.
Steering is handled by a 1/10 scale 2056 waterproof high-torque servo. The steering has heavy-duty double-shear bellcranks. It also has a cam-style servo saver.
The suspension has a dual wishbone design with heavy duty, double-shear arms. The outer suspension components are extra tough.
The shocks are Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks™ in full size 1/10 scale. They have a large oil capacity and are easy to tune.
The truck uses a clipless body mount system that allows quick and easy installation and removal. The mount has nerf bar channels for side body support and is reinforced for extra protection against tearing.
The bumpers are tough and energy absorbing. The front skid plate is high-angle, and the skid plates are rugged and interlocking. A smooth undertray eliminates snags. Integrated nerf bars give side impact resistance.
The wheels are dual-profile, black and multi-spoke. They carry 4″ Sledgehammer® tires with foam inserts. The tires have a wide treadblock design and multiple layers of biting edges.
The hex hardware has a rust-resistant black oxide coating. The truck also has sealed ball bearings.
The truck is controlled with a TQ 2.4 GHz (2-channel) radio system. The transmitter is full-size and offers all-day comfort with precise long-range control.
The box includes a 2-cell LiPo 3500mAh Traxxas iD battery. The battery is high-capacity at 7.4 volts, and its capacity gives extended run time.
The box also includes a USB-C LiPo balance charger with iD. The charger is rated at 2 amps. iD technology gives faster, safer charging.
