Kyosho brings the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R to life in this MINI-Z RWD MR-04 Readyset, finished in Chrome/Yellow. This Readyset is issued as a Kyosho America 20th Anniversary edition, a special limited-edition release marking Kyosho America's 20th anniversary. The car is ready to run right out of the box. Insert batteries into the car and the transmitter, and it's ready to go — Kyosho's simple Readyset (Ready-To-Run) format. This authentic, small-scale electric MINI-Z R/C car suits indoor driving and drivers new to R/C cars. The real Corvette C8.R is based on Chevrolet's high-performance road car. The racing model carries a midship-mounted 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 500 horsepower. Reduced weight and aero parts gave the racing version performance far beyond the commercial road model. With its dynamic maneuverability and display-model finish, the updated MR-04 chassis takes the R/C experience to a higher level.
This Readyset is a 2WD model, built around the renewed MR-04 chassis — the 4th-generation platform, first released in 2023. The MR-04 succeeds the 3rd-generation MR-03 chassis used in previous Readyset packages. This chassis has a lower center of gravity and a remodeled steering design, proven in the top-of-the-line EVO2 debut model. The MR-04 marks a major evolution from the MR-03, now the standard MINI-Z RWD platform. This Readyset uses the same standard MR-04 chassis found in other high-end MR-04 models. It retains the best aspects of the MR-03, and its lower center of gravity brings a significant performance boost. Easier control also makes it a good introduction to R/C cars.
New front knuckles with integrated kingpins reduce scrub by 1.5mm on each side, compared to the MR-03. The reduced scrub gives sharper, more linear control. A change to 3mm inner-diameter ball bearings also reduces rotational resistance. The front suspension dynamically aligns camber angle with upper-arm movement, maintaining optimal tire contact during cornering. A revised caster angle delivers improved steering response. Batteries sit lower than on the MR-03. The lower battery position lowers the whole chassis's center of gravity, improving cornering stability and straight-line handling.
Rear suspension uses a coil spring damper, cushioning shocks from the road surface and improving driving stability. It can also be upgraded to an optional oil-filled shock absorber. The T-bar rear suspension plate holds the entire rear pod, including the motor and rear axle. Plate flexibility produces an excellent suspension effect. Optional parts for the rear suspension plate are also available in FRP and carbon. All axles use low rotational-resistance ball bearings, a full ball-bearing specification. Front and rear bearings are the same size, for spare-parts efficiency. The geared differential delivers smooth cornering. Suspension is independent, with friction-type shocks.
The car is equipped with a user-friendly 130-class brushed motor. This package includes the reliable Syncro (Perfex) KT-531P pistol-grip transmitter. It has a steering wheel that mimics a real car's wheel and a pistol-grip throttle. The transmitter offers trims to adjust the neutral position of steering and throttle. Dual-rate steering angle adjustment is also available. Training mode is the default setting, and it reduces vehicle speed. The Syncro KT-531P R/C system — radio, receiver, servos and speed control — is built into the chassis. It handles forward, brake and reverse drive control. The car can also be fitted with an optional gyro unit for even easier control. Gyro sensitivity adjusts via a volume knob on the chassis. High performance comes standard right out of the box. The car is also compatible with a wide range of MINI-Z Racer optional parts. These parts let it be tuned up for elite-level performance.
The body is pre-painted with decals and markings already applied, finished to display-model standard. This car is compatible with all bodies for the MINI-Z Racer series. Rear tread changes by changing the wheel offset. A parts set is included to match front tread to a replacement body when changing from the standard body.

This car's chassis requires 4 AAA alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, not included and sold separately. The transmitter also requires 4 AAA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries, not included and sold separately. A charger is sold separately and is not included. If you plan to run a body other than the one installed on this Readyset, you'll need extra parts. A motor case and a differential gear assembly, suited to that body, are sold separately.
