Kyosho Mini-Z RWD Series Ready Set Sauber-Mercedes Gruppe-C-Rennsportwagen C9, Nr.62, LM 1988 is a ready-to-run car. It is a mini-size, on-road model in 1/28 scale on the Mini-Z RWD platform. One car comes in the box.
The RWD series is a Rear-Wheel Drive design that emphasizes superior handling paired with the Syncro KT-531P transmitter. First launched in 2013, Kyosho has renewed the Mini-Z Racer Sports MR-03 concept to be even more user-friendly. With the Mini-Z RWD series, the concept appeals to more drivers.
The Sauber-Mercedes is the unmistakable 1988 car No.62, sponsored by German electronics brand AEG, condensed into Mini-Z size. The impressive form of the C9 is emblazoned with its famous circuit board graphics.
The car body is pre-painted plastic, complete with markings. It is highly detailed and fully factory finished. The finish is display-model standard, which matches stunning style with the performance, reliability and durability of the MR-03 chassis.
The newly developed Syncro KT-531P transmitter offers multiple setting options. It has steering trim, throttle trim, dual rate adjustment of steering angle, and flashing speed control for optional LEDs. The sponge grip of the steering wheel provides a comfortable fit for precision control feel. The transmitter has a Training Mode feature that limits the speed of the car for easy learning. Training Mode is the default setting at shipment.
The factory assembled chassis is RWD (MR-03). It is based on the proven MR-03 design. Existing parts for the MR-03 can be installed to enhance driving control. The drivetrain is 2WD, with gear diffs and a forward/brake/reverse drive type. The car runs on electric power with a brushed motor.
A new control program on the newly designed circuit board gives linear handling characteristics. The circuit board with its newly developed control program gives dramatically improved steering feel. The car uses 7 ball bearings, a full ball bearing setup that was previously an optional upgrade. The front suspension uses VCS, which optimizes camber angle with suspension stroke. The suspension is independent, with friction shocks. The car is equipped with a receiver, servos and a speed control.
The chassis is compatible with the optional gyro unit (No.MZW446/MZW711), sold separately. Installing the gyro unit makes control even easier. The volume of the gyro effect can be adjusted on the chassis. If you use the KT-432PT transmitter (sold separately), you can adjust the settings from the transmitter.
Tread can be set narrow or wide by changing the steering tie rods on the front lower and upper plates.

The chassis needs 4 AAA-size alkaline batteries or 4 Ni-MH batteries. The transmitter needs 4 AAA-size alkaline batteries. Batteries and the charger are sold separately.
The Syncro KT-531P transmitter uses FHSS 2.4GHz. It is not compatible with existing ASF/MHS/FHS 2.4GHz systems.
The chassis is compatible with all Mini-Z Racer body styles. A motor case and diff gear assembly to suit the body must be purchased separately. The wheelbase can also be changed to suit the body style, but the change requires parts that are purchased separately.
