Why Choose This Product
If you push a Maxx or X-Maxx hard—big tires, high speeds, or rough terrain—this servo tightens steering response and stands up to the strain. The Traxxas X Maxx Servo HD High Torque is a solid upgrade for experienced hobbyists who want reliable, predictable steering without frequent replacements.

Best XMaxx Upgrade
IMO, this is the ultimate upgrade for your XMaxx. First, it's got metal gears. Second, it's completely waterproof (tried a 3 ft dive). Plus, it gives tons of steering power and precision. The stock servo is okay to start, but once you're leveling up, you need this. Installing it is easy, just check the official YouTube guide. My tip: unscrew the metal part of the servo link and put some blue loctite on the threads for extra strength. Avoid using the plastic link from the stock servo cause it bends with the high torque. And yeah, the sound is more aggressive, like an angry bee.
Essential for XMAXX
The stock steering servo is terrible. It stopped working after just 50 minutes of use. I got the 1085X and right out of the box you can tell it's top-notch. Installed it, and steering issues vanished. Quicker response too.
