The Kyosho Collet Set Fly Wheel Tapered is the tapered retention collet used to clamp a Kyosho flywheel to the crank or clutch hub. Replace it when the tapered surface shows wear or deformation and the flywheel no longer stays tight on its shaft.
The collet’s tapered shape creates the clamping force as the flywheel nut is tightened; a damaged taper can let the flywheel turn independently and cause driveline problems. Replace the collet whenever you remove the flywheel for inspection or if you notice slippage after reassembly.
