This is the Bevel Gear Differential Conversion Set for the HPI Savage & R40 Touring Car.
This converts standard gear diff to a 4 bevel gear diff.

Quality Gears
The gears are def made of good quality stuff. My side gears in the diff got wrecked when screws came loose on the ring gear, but this will fix it up quick. It's priced well if you can do the repair yourself, instead of replacing the whole differential.

Essential Upgrade
This upgrade is pretty much essential, even if you dont have big tires or a larger engine. The stock 2 gear diff will break eventually. This 4 gear upgrade lets the diff run smoother and with less backlash, making it stronger and less likely to get shockload damage. I always fill the carrier w/ oil before putting the ring gear back. Then I just add a bunch of grease in the diff housing for the ring and pinion. If the housing was sealed, I'd use oil there too, but it's not sealed so grease is needed.
