Forward Only Upgrade
The install was easy with the instructions. After installing, the jerkiness at idle is gone and acceleration is quicker. It's not blue anymore, but it still works! This upgrade reduces rotational mass, making your T-Maxx tougher.

Great for Nitro, Not Brushless
This original Traxxas gear for the T-maxx Classic is made of strong white nylon plastic. Bearings aren't included, but if your old ones are good, you're fine. It sheds a lot of weight by removing a servo and reduces rotating mass for more power. But it didn't handle my electric conversion with a Castle Creations 1515/Mamba Monster ESC on 6S LiPo well. I'd stick to using it with Nitro or a 3s/4s system.

Essential Upgrade
Fits my TMaxx Classic like a charm. No more jerky starts when taking off slowly, which is a common issue with TMaxx. The throttle response is instant now, like direct drive.
