More info
This is the complete slipper clutch assembly with a 54T spur gear built in, made for the Traxxas Slash 4X4 and also fitting the Traxxas Stampede 4x4. It's sold as a pre-assembled unit, so instead of sourcing individual clutch components separately, you get the whole drivetrain piece ready to bolt onto your truck without measuring springs or matching pad thickness on your own.
The slipper clutch sits between your motor and spur gear, letting the gear slip slightly under hard acceleration or impact instead of transferring every bit of shock straight through the drivetrain. That's the job this assembly handles, and Traxxas ships it fully pre-assembled, so there's no fiddling with springs, pads, or plates before installation. Everything arrives as one complete unit, built for the Slash 4X4 and Stampede 4x4 drivetrain. This is listed as an upgrade part, giving Slash 4X4 and Stampede 4x4 owners a way to replace or refresh this part of the drivetrain with factory-correct components rather than hunting down loose springs, pads, and plates individually.
Key Features

- Built-in 54T spur gear included as part of the unit
- Fits the Traxxas Slash 4X4 and Traxxas Stampede 4x4

What's Included
- 2 nuts
- 1 spring
- 1 metal plate
- 1 pin
- 3 pads
- 2 washers
- 54T spur gear
Every piece needed for this stage of the drivetrain is packed into one set: the nuts and pin hold the assembly together, the spring and pads control how the clutch grips and slips, and the metal plate and washers keep everything seated against the 54T spur gear. Because the whole clutch and gear combination ships as one assembled part, there's no need to buy separate pads, springs, or a spur gear to complete the job. For Slash 4X4 and Stampede 4x4 owners looking to service or upgrade this part of the drivetrain, this set covers the full assembly in a single package.
About the Brand

Good but needs care
I prefer buying these instead of just swapping out my spur gear, but once you get a new one, make sure to tighten the spring before using it. Then after your first run, take it out and tighten the spring again. Somehow they tend to get loose at first. After that, they're good to go!
