Traxxas Half Shafts come as a set of two and carry drive from the differential to the wheels. The set includes 2 internal shafts, 2 external shafts and 4 crosses. Each cross is a ball with 4 pins sticking out in a cross pattern.
The shafts are white plastic with universal joint ends. The crosses are metal. Compressed length is 1 11/16 inches (43 mm).
These shafts work with the Bandit XL-5 with Battery, most Traxxas electric vehicles, the Nitro Street and the Nitro Buggy. They do not fit the Nitro Hawk, because they are too short.
I used the Traxxas shaft for a DIY camera stabilizer and it worked awesome. It's a great option if you're looking to save some cash and do the same.
Works well; installation tip
Great fit for my Traxxas Bandit. If you lack the right tool, put the part of the shaft you need to bend in boiling water for a minute. It'll get softer, making it simple to insert the metal piece. You can dip it back in the hot water for a minute to reshape if needed. This way, you get a perfect fit without stressing the joints.
