More info

The Traxxas 4-Tec Drift Nissan 240SX RTR is a 1/10 scale rear-wheel-drive drift car built around a purpose-made drift chassis, a licensed Nissan 240SX body, and Traxxas stability control. It combines the TQi 2.4 GHz radio system, XL-5 electronic speed control, Titan Drift 21T 550 brushed motor, and Traxxas Stability Management to create a ready-to-race drift platform with detailed scale presence and a focused control package. The low center of gravity chassis, modular construction, and adjustable suspension geometry help support the car’s drift-oriented layout, while the clipless body design keeps the exterior clean and free of body post holes.

The Nissan 240SX body brings official licensing and molded detail to the platform. Injection-molded grille, splitter, side mirrors, and spoiler details give the body a finished look, and replica brake discs with red calipers add to the scale appearance. Clipless body mounts make body removal quick, and the reinforced mounting points are integrated into the molded details. The chassis sits on six-spoke tuner wheels with rubber wheel inserts, and the drift tire setup uses both hard and soft compound tires to suit the car’s rear-wheel-drive drift layout.

Built for drift control, not generic on-road running, the 4-Tec Drift Nissan 240SX centers its setup around adjustable steering, chassis balance, and electronic assistance. TSM Drift Mode allows adjustable steering angle, steering reflex, throttle reflex, and spinout assist, while TSM Mode and Gyro Mode give the driver additional control options. From the transmitter, assistance can be adjusted from off to 100%, letting you tune the feel to match your driving style and surface conditions. The optional High-Angle Steering Kit is fitted and provides 75° steering angle, and the digital high-torque 2075 servo supports the steering system.

The waterproof XL-5 ESC adds practical control features for everyday use. It offers Sport Mode with forward, brake, and reverse; Race Mode with forward and brake; and Training Mode with 50% forward, brake, and 50% reverse. Traxxas EZ-Set one-button setup makes the ESC easy to configure, and LiPo and NiMH compatibility is supported with two-stage low-voltage detection. The waterproof design lets you keep driving in wet conditions, while the low-voltage protection helps protect LiPo battery packs during use. The Titan Drift motor uses a 21-turn brushed 550 design with an internal cooling fan, virtually maintenance-free operation, a fixed gear mesh motor plate, and a molded wire retainer to keep the wiring secure.

The TQi 2.4 GHz radio system uses a 3-channel transmitter, a 5-channel micro receiver with fail-safe security, an electronic handbrake, and a patented waterproof receiver box with an easy-access plug. It can automatically store and load settings for up to 30 Traxxas Link-enabled models, adding convenience when switching between vehicles. The low CG chassis positions weight low, uses a smooth underside to resist drag and snags, and relies on modular interlocking pieces for rigidity and easier maintenance. An adjustable battery hold down swivels to fit different battery heights and locks securely without pins or loose parts to lose.

Technical size and setup details show the car’s compact drift proportions and stable stance. It measures 18.38 inches long, 8.50 inches wide, and 5.15 inches high, with a 10.11-inch wheelbase, 7.87-inch front track, 7.87-inch rear track, and 0.5-inch center ground clearance. The car weighs 2.28 pounds and uses a rear spool with spiral-cut gears for smooth, quiet running. Rubber-sealed ball bearings and precision hex hardware round out the running gear, while the adjustable suspension is tuned for drifting with dual rear camber link mounts and settings for droop, camber, toe, ackerman, track, and roll center.
