Simple Must-Do Upgrade
Fits like a charm! Really strengthens the chassis for impacts. It's a Traxxas part so it fits perfectly. Like I said in the vid, there are two front mounts—one's for the slash, the other probably for the sledge. Follow the instructions and it's foolproof. That Traxxas blue looks awesome and matches the other blue accents on the car.
Stops Chassis Flex
Using this on my Traxxas Rustler 4x4 with Max8 G2 combo. It really cut down the chassis flex, which helps keep the motor pinion and spur gear lined up. Too much flex can strip the spur gear over time. Also helps the car stay steady in turns. Overall, it's a great improvement. Def a must-have.
Not Ideal for HCG
It should really say that it's not meant for an hcg slash, but you can make it work with some tweaks. You gotta use side cutters and mess with the chassis brace. Cut the leg that's hitting the servo, then trim the extra legs on the rear to make a spacer for the bolts. At the front, it screws in with just 2 bolts and you're good.
