Does What It's Supposed To
This rear shock tower (part 3638 from Traxxas) is what you need for keeping the rear shocks in place and stops the motor wires from swinging around. It's compatible with both the regular and VXL versions of the Bandit, Rustler, and Stampede RC cars. Swapping it out is simple, just remove the 8 screws from the old tower with the allen wrenches that come with the car and install the new one.Even though it's plastic, it holds up well. I didn't need another one for over a year of heavy use. It tends to break from big jumps, where the springs can push it apart, but it's super cheap to replace. There's an aluminum version (part ST3638S) that probably won't break, but at $20, it's pricey. Honestly, I'd just stick with the plastic ones unless you're doing crazy high jumps or racing in real stadiums.
