The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) is a sports car that was built between 1967 and 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 to 1982 model years. The engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new.
Two special editions were offered to celebrate the 25th Corvette. The first two-color variant offered since 1961 was silver over a gray lower body with a separator strip plus aluminum wheels and a dual "sporty" mirror. 6502 replicas of the Indy-500 Pace were produced, featuring black-and-white two-tone paintwork, front and rear spoilers, mirrored roof panels and molded sleeping seats.
