Another Bandit After 20 Years
I got a Traxxas Bandit back in 1995 when I was a kid, and it still works today. My wife surprised me with a new XL-5 Bandit for Father's Day, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Had an issue with the left axle breaking after just 10 minutes, but Traxxas support was awesome. They shipped me a new set of axles for free. Love the product and their customer service is even better.

Fast, Fun, and Durable
This car's pretty great. It's fast and powerful with good control and range. I use a Venom 20C 2S 4000mAh 7.4 Hard Case LiPO Battery, which gives it more speed than it really needs, honestly.We've had it for almost three weeks, using it nearly every day. It's taken lots of tumbles and jumps, and the durability's holding up well. Only issue was some screws rattling loose after a few days. One even fell out and disconnected a shock, so we checked the rest and found a few more that were nearly out.

Fantastic RC Car!
This ain't your typical cheapo RC car from Alibaba with a bunch of random labels. Traxxas is a solid brand with a big name in the racing world (check YouTube!). My local hobby store even said the Bandit has won some international races.Many bad reviews are bc people don't get how to maintain it. Gears slipping can happen after a bit of use or impact, but it's super easy to fix or replace them. The kit includes a faster drive gear to hit 35 mph, plus there's an upgrade kit for around $120 to reach 65 mph. You can even go for the brushless motor version. Every part is replaceable and easy to find at hobby shops.As for durability, this car is tough. My kid's crashed it into rocks and curbs (basically boulders and cliffs for its size), and it still runs strong. It's not unbreakable, but it's def better built than you'd expect for the price. Knowing parts are easy to replace and not too expensive is reassuring. We've bought toys before that ended up in the trash, but this one feels like it'll stick around. While $200 might seem steep at first, the long-term costs are reasonable, and the fun is off the charts.Driving and handling are awesome. I don't know much about RC cars, but I'm into full-scale racing. The suspension geometry on this car is impressive for the price, well-balanced with plenty of caster to keep it stable and straight. The wheels align like a real car, and with practice, you can even drift on gravel.Overall, I can't praise the quality, design, and durability enough. Treat it like your own car, and it'll last. The company is great for support too. If you need help, Jeff in customer service is fantastic. He helped me out a lot without trying to upsell anything.
