Metal Parts Are Best
Kinda sucks that Traxxas ships most of their rc trucks with cheap plastic parts that break easy, then they sell you the pricier metal ones. But honestly, it's a smart biz move. Gotta admit, it works well for them.

Frustrated with Maxx V2
I cant believe i'm on my 4th steel spur gear for the Maxx V2, teeth keep snapping off. What kind of crappy steel is this junk made of? Even with all screws tight, the sealed cover lets in so much dirt and rocks. The durability of the Traxxas Maxx is just terrible. I love how the Maxx V2 runs, but had to swap the plastic axles for steel too bc they warped. When I called their tech support, they denied any issues and were kinda snooty, saying "it's a hobby." I'm done with Traxxas, feel so ripped off. Had lots of their cars/trucks, but never again. JUNK!
