Better than hard-anodized shocks, Traxxas Hard-Coat shocks greatly reduce piston/housing friction, and this helps to prevent the heat build-up that can cause inconsistent performance. The coating actually permeates the T-6 aluminum, making it many times more resistant to wear and corrosion. Springs are not included
