If you have Traxxas Big Bore shocks, you def need these screws! The 5862 Big Bore Shock kit is one of the best, easy upgrades for your Traxxas Bandit, Slash, Stampede, or Rustler. But Traxxas, in their wisdom, uses plastic spacers and standard screws to attach the shocks to the towers. This works ok at first, but plastic spacers compress and mess up the shock movement over time. Plus the screw can start backing out.Honestly, it's crazy to use this hardware for $60 shocks. But here's the twist! The aluminum Shock Caps for the Ultra shocks come w/ these 3642X shoulder screws and 2746 metal washers for just $14. So for $14, you get better screws... it doesn't add up. These shoulder screws are longer and give more thread area into the mounting post, offering a stronger and smoother hinge for the shocks.I love Traxxas, but they make some dumb choices sometimes. Lots of easy fixes just get ignored for years, which really boggles my mind.
