More info
Kyosho's MINI-Z RWD Series Ready Set recreates the 1988 Sauber-Mercedes Gruppe-C Rennsportwagen C9, car No.62, in 1/28 scale. The car uses a rear-wheel-drive layout on the MR-03 chassis. That chassis pairs with the Syncro KT-531P transmitter for the handling this RWD series is built around. The platform traces back to the MINI-Z Racer Sports MR-03 concept Kyosho first launched in 2013. That update made the platform more user-friendly and appealing to more drivers. Kyosho positions the whole RWD series as a way to go deeper into R/C cars. Across the series, Kyosho builds highly detailed body sets using widely popular body styles for a realistic lineup. This Ready Set carries a Ready-to-Run completion level, so it works as a full entry point into R/C cars. The No.62 Sauber-Mercedes C9 is condensed down to MINI-Z size here. Its form carries the car's famous circuit-board graphics.
Design & Handling Features
Several engineering details shape how this car handles and how far you can take it.
- The body arrives finished to display-model standard, factory-painted to match the MR-03 chassis in performance, reliability, and durability.
- Full ball-bearing specification covers all 7 bearings, a setup that used to be an optional upgrade.
- A new circuit board and control program deliver noticeably improved, more linear steering feel.
- The chassis is based on the proven MR-03 platform. Existing MR-03 parts and the optional gyro unit install to sharpen handling.
- Front suspension uses VCS geometry that optimizes camber angle through the suspension stroke, with independent suspension all around.
- The Syncro KT-531P transmitter offers steering trim, throttle trim, dual rate, and LED control.
- Its sponge-grip steering wheel gives a comfortable, precise feel.
- The transmitter has a Training Mode that limits car speed for easier learning. This is the default setting at shipment.
- An optional gyro unit (No.MZW446/MZW711, sold separately) sharpens handling further.
- Gyro effect volume can be adjusted on the chassis, or from an optional KT-432PT transmitter.

Before You Buy
A few things to plan for before this car hits the track.

- Swapping to a different body needs a separate motor case and differential gear assembly.
- Tread width can be set narrow or wide on this car.
- Changing it means swapping the steering tie rods on the front lower and upper plates.
- Wheelbase can also be adjusted to suit a different body style, though that change needs separately purchased parts too.
