Protects drivetrain parts
These are OEM and they break easier than metal ones. Some folks might think that's bad, but I prefer having the original half shafts as a weak point. They're strong enough for bashing and rock crawling, but if tires jam up, the axle shaft snaps and saves my transmission gears and drive shaft. A 2-pack is $8, so $4 each, and takes just 5 mins to swap. Perfect. I don't break many, as they’re pretty strong.

Solid axles
These axles are great replacements. I used them with metal yokes and they've held up well. They have a nice rubber boot to protect the sliding part. Remember, this is just the axle, so you'll need both inner and outer yokes too.
