Customize Your Factory Body
This factory body is pretty durable and you can paint it any color you like. First, wash the inside with mild dish soap and a microfiber cloth, then dry it well before painting. Make sure to use paint that's meant for polycarbonate RC bodies, otherwise, it'll flake off. My kid picked a bright chartreuse to stand out from his friends' Rustler trucks. We did 4 light coats of color and then 3 coats of white. You gotta use white after your main color or it'll be see-through. There are lots of sharp corners in the back, so spray light coats from different angles. Only window, grille, headlight, and taillight stickers are included. I wish it came with radiator fan, Rustler logo, and number stickers like the original. Luckily, I had extra stickers from other kits. Use a 7mm socket (same as the tire nut) and an Allen wrench for the rear wing. The front window sticker kinda covers the antenna hole, so a body reamer helps trim it. Adding the cost of 2 paint cans, your time, and stickers makes it pricier. The fun of this hobby is tinkering and having something unique, though.
